We are honored that you took the time to visit Above Rubies Boutique website. It is our desire to bring to you clothing and accessories that appeal to the unique woman that dwells within. The bible declares that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We should never forget that God has made us in His image and likeness. We should also never feel that we are less than because we are fashioned by the Master to accomplish His good works. When God sees you, He says, "It is good". No matter what our physical bodies look like, we are God's handiwork, unique in that we are all made for a purpose; but the same because we are designed by Him.
What is the Definition of a GEM?
A gem is a cut and polished precious stone or pearl fine enough for use in jewelry.
What are the Characteristics of Rubies?
Rubies have a variety of characteristics that set them apart from other precious gems. They are rarer than diamonds, and flawless rubies exceed all other gems in value. It is the most desirable gem due to its hardness, durability, luster, and rarity. Rubies must be transparent to possess gem value.
Why the name Above Rubies Boutique?
We are firm believers that understanding and knowing your worth as an individual is a large part of shaping who you are and how one views themselves. The name Above Rubies Boutique is based on the scripture found in Proverbs 31:10...for her worth is far above rubies. One of the ways in which we seek to shape how our customers and followers view themselves is by teaching and reminding them of the value and worth of a ruby. The message we want to convey to our gems is that their value and worth exceeds that of a ruby according to Proverbs 31:10 which is why we call them gems (a cut and polished precious stone or pearl fine enough for use in jewelry) and why we named the boutique Above Rubies Boutique.
A part of our mission is to also provide our gems (slim and curvy) with rare and desirable fashions and accessories that are "a cut above the rest" and highlights their individuality as an everyday style icon. In addition, Above Rubies Boutique is committed to be transparent in the way that we do business because we value our gems and their support.
CEO and Head GEM
Above Rubies Boutique was incorporated on April 1, 2019. The CEO and Head GEM is Aliyya Michele Jacobs. Aliyya has a passion for fashion and all things creative. She understands her value and worth and wants those she interacts with to have that same confidence. One of her greatest strengths is to finish strong. She does not run from challenges but embraces them as stepping stones.
In addition to being an entrepreneur, Aliyya is a Quality Control Analyst for a due diligence consulting firm and resides in the metropolitan Detroit area.
